H2O Pod, Inc. was founded in 2005 and is the manufacturer of the WaterMat. The company is located in the heart of the Midwest's lake country and is committed to build fun, safe and no-hassle products. It's very hard not to laugh and have fun when playing on the WaterMat, and we laugh and have a lot of fun developing and marketing this product.

Bob Pole, Partner and Founder

Bob founded the company in 2005. Bob is very entrepreneurial and has built several rather successful small businesses. As a college gymnast, he was also very successful and is built rather small. Bob graduated from Iowa State University.

As a serial entrepreneur, Bob fashions himself as the creative genius at H2OPod and he is responsible for dreaming up wonderfully fun, new variations of the WaterMat. Sometimes these ideas "don't float," but stay tuned for some truly exciting new WaterMat products in the coming months.

Jay Crookston, Partner, Sales and Marketing

Jay is primarily responsible for all WaterMat distribution and marketing. Jay's a landlubber and is uniquely unqualified to sell and market this water toy. He has enjoyed a long career in sales and consulting, and he thinks he's really smart because he has an MBA. In reviewing his background, one WaterMat distributor candidly asked, "what are YOU doing with this company?!"

Falling in love with the WaterMat when he first saw it, Jay wanted to help his local buddy, Bob Pole, bring it to market. Like Jay, everybody loves the WaterMat. Most people (but not everybody) love Bob Pole.

His favorite WaterMat experience is playing "King of the WaterMat" with his two grown, former football-playing sons...he never wins and always ends up in the brink. Jay will never rest until all 2 million lake home owners in the US possess at least one WaterMat.
